Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing the ThreadPilot browser extension, creating an account on threadpilot.io, or otherwise using the ThreadPilot service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. ThreadPilot is operated by ThreadPilot ("we", "us", "our"). The Service is provided to individuals aged 18 or older.
2. Description of the Service
ThreadPilot is an AI writing assistant for X (formerly Twitter), delivered as a browser extension with a companion website at threadpilot.io. The extension reads tweet content from your browser DOM and helps you draft replies in your own writing style. ThreadPilot never auto-posts on your behalf — every reply requires your manual click. We do not call the X API; all X content is read directly from pages you open.
3. Your X Account and X Terms
You remain solely responsible for compliance with X's Terms of Service, X's automation rules, and any applicable laws when using ThreadPilot in conjunction with your X account. ThreadPilot is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. You agree that you will not use ThreadPilot to engage in spam, harassment, impersonation, or any activity that violates X's rules. Smart pacing safeguards are designed to keep your usage within human-like patterns, but they do not guarantee that your X account will not be actioned by X.
4. Accounts and Authentication
You create your ThreadPilot account by signing in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Google account and for any activity that occurs under your ThreadPilot account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud or abuse.
5. Free and Pro Subscriptions
ThreadPilot offers a Free plan with daily generation limits and a Pro paid subscription with extended limits and features. Pro is billed via Stripe (international users) or Razorpay (Indian users) on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices, limits, and features are described on threadpilot.io and may change with notice. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use ThreadPilot to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit involving minors; (b) attempt to circumvent the smart pacing limits or any other technical safeguards; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension beyond what is permitted by law; (d) resell, sublicense, or expose the Service through automated means to third parties without our written consent; (e) use the Service to train competing AI models.
7. AI-Generated Content
Replies generated by ThreadPilot are produced by third-party large language models (currently OpenAI and Anthropic). You are solely responsible for reviewing each suggestion before posting and for the content you publish. AI output may contain errors, hallucinations, or content that does not reflect your views; you must edit or discard any reply you would not stand behind. We make no warranty as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of any AI output.
8. Intellectual Property
ThreadPilot, the threadpilot.io website, the browser extension, and all associated logos, designs and source code are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. You retain ownership of the content you post on X. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to process your X writing samples and tweet drafts solely to provide the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that your X account will not be limited, suspended, or terminated by X.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThreadPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, followers, or X account access, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100 if you are on the Free plan.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from the extension settings or by contacting support. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the Service in a manner that we reasonably believe creates risk for us, our other users, or third parties. Upon termination your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on threadpilot.io and via email when reasonably possible. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
